I got the part in the playyyyy! (RANT)

Let me begin with informing you what the hell I'm even talking about since I didn't bother talking about it last week. My school is having a play (The Curious Savage), which I believe to be one of the last ones to audition for for the rest of the school year, and me being a drama kid I took it upon myself to audition for it but only last minute since I had so many negative thoughts running through my head telling me I wouldn't be good enough and that I haven't fully grown as an actor but thankfully after talking to so many people about it I ended up getting talked into doing it by the same people who also convinced me to go to ITS! I know that was a long sentence but I do that when I'm really hyped so please bare with me.

Last Thursday I auditioned for it not specifically for any role and just said to myself whatever happens, happens. I saw a couple intimidating auditions that made me ask myself why the hell am I even here right now when I know there's hardly any chance of me getting any role at all. We had to do cold readings, which is when you read straight off from a script and perform that dialogue to the best of your ability, and I personally hate cold reading! I was always a slow reader and I still am so mix that with a huge case of nerves, you better expect a train wreck!  I didn't do horrendous but I didn't feel like I did good enough to impress the judge who was once my former Theater Arts teacher (love her!). I ran through the script twice then my ride came to pick me up. Those that were there who saw one of my status' on how much I hate cold readings on facebook said I did pretty good and I just thought please, don't give me your sympathy. Turns out they were being very truthful!

Friday came along and I apparently was notified that I was on the call back list. For half a second my heart nearly stopped but then I said well call backs don't always mean your instantly on the cast list so let me just relax and wait till we do call backs. Then good old Monday gets here and I was so nervous. After waiting this long and find out that I'm not in the cast list would have completely torn me apart. But if it was for the best then so be it I thought. After school came and I heard excited voices and laughter coming from the room the call backs were being hosted in. I said to myself there is no way I can prep myself enough for this so just get it over with. Thankfully, my old teacher wasted no time in saying we were all in! Hugest relief I felt all year! I was so shocked but proud of myself. How could I get this role over all of those other people? I'm still somewhat in denial but we'll see how things turn out over the next few months. I believe the actually play starts in May so I'll be going to rehearsals every now and then meaning less internet time pour moi *sob sob* but I'll try my best to update this blog. Gotta make the best of my senior year anyways right?

Oh and I got Mrs. Willie!

Went to H-mart over the weekend!

Don't know what H-mart is? Well let me enlighten you!

It's just like any other grocery store like say Walmart, except Korean! Yes. It's a Korean market I guess one would call it and one who already has an interest in Japanese and Korean culture would absolutely have a field day there such as myself, and I did! I went with my friends Kyle, Joii, Katherine, and Erika. They're such a great group of people to hang out with.

We got there and we did not know where to go first. It's not super big but you can take up a good hour spending your time in just one location! We went to this cute little store that had lots of cutesy items everywhere! Sanrio and non-Sanrio :D They had Korean artist CD's and other merchandise that I actually loved such as Big Bang, DBSK, 2NE1, SNSD, SHINee and so on.

Then we realized we were super hungry and that we really wanted to get a bite to eat so we ended up getting a bento plate. Mine was the first one, Kyle's is the second, Katherine's the third, and Erika had the same one I got.

Joii got some delicious dumplings but that picture was taking after most of them were already eaten lol ^^ We tried to make it look pretty again just for the sake of taking a picture of it lol! Normally I get bubble tea but I've had a cavity in my tooth for the longest time so I didn't wanna risk drinking anything super cold. I was pretty upset about it but all well, there's always another time.

Besides food, I bought a few things here and there but I'll post them all on that What I Bought Recently blog since I already have so much going on in this one. Last but not least, we took some really cute pictures in the pikura booth they had there!

It was an overall fun get together and I hope to do it with them again soon!

Red lips + My blog got a make over

For the longest time I've always dreamed of having sexy red lips like the movie stars do! Not for everyday wear, but say for special occasions. I'm not sure why this is but every time I put on red lipstick, it ends up making me look like a clown and I hate when that happens! But recently I finally got it down thanks to me watching a couple tutorials here and there on the web and stealing one of my mom's red lipsticks that she barely ever uses ^ ^

This picture from this years Popteen's March Issue, really inspired to to acheive it! Expect a tutorial for this soon haha!

Yes, this picture is terrible quality but here's a link for a clearer view for those who really want to see it in detail:

Anyway, I was playing with my make up the other day and decided it's time for a photoshoot! Well, kinda. I didn't go all out but I felt the make up needed to be recognized and critiqued by those of you who like to give constructive criticism.

In case you're wondering, I did edit them. I edit 95% of my pictures since I have awful acne marks :P Personally I love how it turned out on me but I'd still like to know your thoughts. Also, what do you think about the new look of my blog? Hate it, love it, don't care? I wanted to try making my own banner with a picture from these group of photos. Plus, although the old template I had was nice (hime/princessy style)  it seemed like more people started to use it which completely ruined it for me. I wanna try to master designing this blog and be just as good as Xia Xue :D She's awesome! I still feel like I'm missing a thing or two but I'll figure it out soon enough hopefully. Don't forget to check out my pages too! They're located right underneath the banner and I gave sort of a shout out to my buddies websites. Leave a comment loves!~

WIBR: What I Bought Recently

To liven things up a bit here on this blog, I decided to start doing a few blogs like this each time I buy a truck load of stuff scattered throughout the past month or so. Plus I've noticed a lack of pictures on my recent posts and I, being a visual person, hate that! I've been meaning to post these on my blog at some point anyway but I never got the chance heh (^^;) mild laziness. Bear in mind that majority of this was purchased off ebay unless stated otherwise. Thought I'd say that now instead of constantly repeating myself haha!

Alright, no let's start off with my new Sonia Kashuk brushes!

I bought these from Target for about $23 and I think it was worth it. It's my first makeup brush set so I was super happy to finally get my hands on it after hearing several good reviews and recommendations for this brand.

Along with that I bought a blending & bronzing blush brush from E.L.F. The bristles aren't as soft as my Sonia Kashuk contouring brush but it still does the job and plus it was super affordable.

Ah yes. My Loose Shuffle Gatsby hair wax. I love this product because it really did meet my expectations in terms of getting that volume at the top of your hair and being able to style and define chunks and pieces of hair. It's great to use if you have short layers, but if you have medium layers such as myself, it still does wonders.

This funky looking thing was purchased from prettyandcute.com and it basically acts like a threading device. It takes up less time to use on my minor facial hairs than my tweezers or hair removal cream. It's not painless, but it gets the job done and the hair stays off your face for a long time. I love this thing. Along with it came a pair of bottom eye lashes I also bought. Unfortunately I am no pro at putting on these type of bottom lashes so I ended up cutting them in half which helped so much!
These are some individual lashes I bought from l'patricia and the lash glue was from Wal-mart. I didn't see the DUO brand so I had to settle with this one but it still works perfectly fine so I have no complaints.

This cute little puppy charm was given to me on our last day in my floral design class from my friend Minh. Such a sweet heart!

That's it for this entry of WIBR (wibber hahaha!). Not too sure how many more of these I'll do since I am jobless T^T forgot to mention that a couple weeks back. I'll definitely still try to do as many of these as I can, even if I only have to talk about one or two items. Alight ttyl❤

A new approach

Lately I feel like it's time to do some new things with my youtube. Like really different. Thing is, I don't have that many "fun" ideas lined up just yet. I'm so close to getting my first 500 subscribers but yet so far away because it's taking forever! I'm kinda going crazy checking on it every two seconds. Okay maybe not that frequently, but still I check it about every other day or so. Am I losing my funny? lol I've always wanted to say that! No, but really . . . I feel like I get more views when I do reviews or tutorials or when I'm Baby クリ which I haven't been doing lately because again I have no other ideas for that character (FAIL) although I really have lots of fun with her. If you didn't know this already, I am my toughest critic on pretty much everything I do so I aim to be a perfectionist majority of the time unless I'm incredibly lazy to put too much effort into a video.

So long story short, I just need some advice and/or ideas on what to do next for my YT is all :/

My Channel

Come to think of it, I actually just uploaded a new video today so please take the time to check it out. It's about my hair products I use and it's a two parter.

oh check out this sexy picture!
Isn't it lovely? *sigh* One day . . . one day.

Valentines Day

Truthfully, I think this holiday is probably the most depressing one there is for me. Yeah I'm sure there are ways to enjoy the day with your friends or family but deep down it's hard to shake those thoughts from your head that you aren't spending it with somebody special to share all of the lovey dovey madness with. Regardless of how I view Valentines day, I just hope that everyone ends up enjoying their plans with their boyfriends/girlfriends, spouses, fiancees and so on.

As for me, I'll hopefully be going to Red Lobster with my mom and sister. I've only been once when I was younger but I fail to remember how the food and service was but I'm sure it wasn't bad cuz I am after all a huge fan of seafood!

Oh and it snowed today which means I didn't go to school! It looks very lovely outside :] I've never seen snow fall for so long before in this state.

Believe it or not, lying on the snow like that surprisingly didn't freeze me to death like you would think. Actually I was pretty toasty cuz I bundled up well before I went out. Had lots of fun while it lasted.

Thanks for reading!

Udoli to Gyaru . . . say whaaaa??

Kind of a late post but it's true. I've been planning on saying this for a while but never really took the time to plan how I was going to tell everyone. I'm pretty sure my videos explained enough though so I won't go back into details as to why I've made this decision unless someone asks me any questions about it. Now I just want to quickly jot down some goals/inspirations/and miscellaneous information I have about me living out the gal lifestyle.

Inspiration!

I honestly get it anywhere. Doesn't matter what nationality, ethic background, whatever. If I see a really amazing photos from the same gal, be it magazine or online communities, she's my inspiration. People who are my inspiration get credit for simply having amazing personalities, mad style, traits, and outlooks on life. Because I have so many lovely people that motivate me to grow and become better at this lifestyle, I will post them throughout my blogging days. Well until I get sick of it lol. We'll see how it all turns out.

Goals for Becoming A Gyaru!
I have quite a few but here's a small list to give you guys a short preview.
  • Join a galsa with lots of awesome members. I already have a few in mind
  • Become an amazing make up wiz after learning countless tips from others
  • Help people by making tutorials on the tube :]
  • Confidence level must be way higher than it is now
  • Fashion should be a big priority (but not bigger than my wallet can handle, let's not get crazy!)
  • Make tons of friends throughout the globe and let people know who I am
Yup. That seems to get most of it. I may have some more goals pop into my head after I post this but either way I'll be experiencing lots of changes from now on which I am prepared for! So on that note, do wish me luck on this and support will be greatly appreciated.

Ridiculous...

This is one of the reasons why I hate being a female because you get treated like you're only good for pleasing the opposite sex, therefore, you constantly get guys trying to pathetically seduce you. As much as I hate to say it, from what I've observed, 95%(randomly high percentage) of the time, it's black guys! Why? Do you not know how to build up a bond with a girl before mindlessly asking for their number and coming off as too forward? Do you think by trying to convince me that you are the best man out their to go to bed with will actually persuade me to do so? Do they think we're that fucking stupid? Don't get me wrong, because I know it's no all black guys who act this way, just the majority. From my own personal experience it is mainly black males and I'm not too shocked since I am black myself but fucking shit I'm so fed up with the crap! I'm so thankful I don't live in Dallas because God bless those girls who have to deal with far worse treatment by the guys over there *smh at the thought* If it's a confidence thing, then why not use proper charm in a less hasty way? Why do I even bother...none of them are going to get that through their hard heads and understand a females point of view.

I needed to vent cuz this was really getting to me. Next time I see any idiot do this to me, I'm letting it all out! Of course with someone to protect me if need be cuz people are crazy these days and my safety comes before anything xD

Probably coloring my hair soon

Those 3 circled in red are the shades of brown I'm looking at. I hate how blah my plain dark brown hair is and I know I'm not going to go bleach my hair for any of those blonds to get crazy colors like electric blue, hot red, and so on (that'd be cool I just don't want to go bald is all :/) but a slight change wouldn't hurt, right? Besides, the season is after all going to change into spring soon and I figure why not dye it around that time? It'd look great for the summertime too! Who knows, I may go for a lighter brown tone, I may not only time will tell. I just want to get my feet wet and test out the waters with dying my hair. Just hoping my mom doesn't bitch at me for it.

Another thing I'd like to add is I ordered some Gatsby moving rubber wax "Loose shuffle" since I always wanted to try out those looks you see above and for this specific kind of wax you don't need to have super short hair to achieve those looks. Obviously my hair isn't that layered but I just wanna play around with it to see what styles I can come up with so you'll be hearing a review from me soon!

Toodles!~
