Prom La Vie En Rouge 2010

Just so you guys know, I've been bad at keeping up with this blog...tumblr has taken over! lol but I'll be posting here now more often since school's coming to an end. So sorry for the deadness.

Prom for me turned out to be a huge success! So happy everything went rather well. This was my first prom since I thought going my junior year would have been lame but now I wish I went last year because it was just too much fun! I got to dance with all of my favorite people which is definitely something I will never forget for yeras and years to come. I can't believe it's already over. It's kind of depressing because now the next thing I have to really look forward to is graduation which I am so not ready for T^T

Unfortunately I took pics but not a whole lot because I kept getting distracted and I felt somewhat handicapped from having fun by making sure I had my camera on me at all times so it didn't get stolen and we were made very clear that they do get stolen every year so i did not wanna take that risk! Here's a batch of pics I'm just gunna throw at you guys that I actually did take...too lazy to do a self intro on all of them.

I bought my dress from JCPenny's for only $79 and it was originally $200 so I thought I got a pretty good deal. & I sure as hell was not about to pay a trillion dollars on my dress that I probably won't even wear much again. Thank goodness I didn't because by the end of the night I had red lip gloss stains all over it because the stupid tube was seeping out when I didn't realize it :[ If I could change one thing about the dress though, it probably would have been the length. Every five seconds I would find myself bunching up the bottom of the dress to move so I wouldn't trip or people wouldn't walk on it so I'm sure you can imagine how hard it was for me to dance with the damn thing. It was a gorgeous dress, but definitely gave me an extra workout :P

The food was nice too! It was some chicken with some sort of filling in it and pasta with cheesecake as a dessert. Each time i look at these pictures I wish I could have ate more :(

As for our ride, we rode in my sister's car because, again, money was short. Plus, I didn't find it necessary to have an extravagant ride. It would have been cool but it sure as hell was not my top priority. I just wanted to get to prom and back, safely! As for our after party . . . I wouldn't call it an after party. It was more like a mini road trip to Oklahoma which is 45 minutes away. It would have been awesome to do that if I wasn't shit tired and on top of that sick w/some sort of nasty cold, but I was both so ehhh it wasn't awesome at all. To be honest, I didn't even want to go. I wish I just went straight home XD haha call me a loser but the way I felt later that morning was so horrendous I should have just stayed went to bed! We came back around 5am and went to IHOP then went back to my friend Amanda's house, slept (or at least tried to) then went home around 10am. It was a mess but besides that, I still had fun with everyone. I wish I could do it all over again...the fun parts only of course :] Everything else can go blow up somewhere because there were certainly moments that I do not want to relive ever! I think that just about wraps prom up for me. Thanks for reading guys :D

Update on life: Dallas gyarusa, Tumblr, Prom make up

Hi guys! It has been so hectic around here lately @ . @ Let's see, there's tons of prom stuff to worry about, then that play that's going on next week that I gotta get ready for, then I got to try passing all my classes so i can graduate which isn't too hard but still it includes some amount of effort, then you got that crush. Yeah, I hate myself for crushing on someone at a time like this but we all know how that goes. Then friends who aren't talking to other friends atm over stupid stuff, next to all the crap my mom is having me do on the side with her adult friends and i don't see why bc it's not like I'm their age group but w/e...they're nice ladies with really adorable kids who I get to spoil ^ ^ And I guess that's it really. It just feels like madness right now. I got so much on my mind > <

But before I talk about anything else, I just wanted to say that my friend Jazmine and I are hoping to get together some people who are interested in being apart of a new galsa in the Dallas area perhaps over the summer. I made this video about it in case any of you missed it.

I'm hoping we actually find people who are willing to do this with us. Even if we end up not getting much feedback, we can always just stick to a nagosa for now until we get more exposure or something. I've just always wanted to be apart of a gyaru circle full of people who are willing to help each other gain a better sense of the gyaru fashion, share or discuss the latest trends, talk about where to shop locally for gyaru items and so forth. So if you're interested, just comment below, msg me on facebook or e-mail :D

Btw. A while ago I asked people on my facebook if I should get a tumblr, formspring, or twitter. Well I ended up getting a tumblr only. I wanted to also get a twitter but because I previously had a twitter account that I deleted with the e-mail I normally use for all my logins, it won't let me use that same e-mail address which sucks cuz I really don't want to create a new e-mail just for the sake of Twitter, y'know? It's a bit of a hassle. I might do it over the summer but as of now I'm sticking to just using tumblr. As for formspring, I might end up getting one one of these days but I can see myself not liking it so much since I'll probably have a butt load of ppl talking smack on there like they ususallly do on people's formspring. I know I can make it not be anonymous but still :/ Well, I'll see.

& lastly, here's a practice eye make up look I might be doing for prom.




I saw this girl's youtube video on it and it seemed subtle enough for me to wear but still is elegant for prom. I'm also going to wear falsies that have clear rhinestones on them...well I may if it doesn't look off. I ordered them online a few days ago so hopefully they won't jack up the entire look. Movie reviews: KICK-ASS + Nightmare on Elm Street (Major spoilers)

Last week I went to go watch KICK-ASS on Sunday and it was well worth my money! There was so much action, gore, and comedy I didn't find myself bored at all! I can say that I wasn't even too sure what the movie was going to be fully about judging from the trailers but I'm glad that I didn't really know too much about it because I found it way better that way since I ended up getting surprised from unexpected twists. I don't think that the main character's friends were necessary though. I mean, they were funny but I think the plot could have done without them in the mix...they were just there. & the romance between the main character and that other chick wasn't at all sweet to me. It seemed purely lustful and it's been like that with a lot of movies for a long while now except for those mushy chick-flicks that I will never pay my own money to watch. It was funny because the whole time we were watching people get sliced up, shot, and brutally murdered me and my friends were cracking up XD We were the only ones so we looked pretty sadistic but it was hilarious how they got killed, we could not help ourselves! It was so intensely amusing. I thought the whole concept of the movie was pretty good and the ending was obviously saying there will be a sequel lol! I'm hoping so, and even more that it's not a crappy one. I give this movie a 9/10 :D

Nightmare on Elm Street to me, was pretty fucking scary! lol i know a bunch of people are saying it sucked and  so on and so forth but this movie made me have to get up and use the bathroom before I went on myself and I don't EVER do that during any kind of movie so that's saying something XD Freddie's voice was definitely freaky yet unusually . . . arousing O.o LMAO! I know that sounds weird but it kinda was at one point and then it quickly died as soon as I realized how much of a maniac I was for even thinking it. Not to mention that it was the scene where he tried to talk "dirty" to Nancy while she was pinned back on the bed by . . . invisible arms? lol, WTF? I need to see a therapist, no joke. Moving on with the review, I can't completely compare it to the original movie since I vaguely remember seeing it but I don't ever remember Freddie's voice sounding this unbelievably scary before which makes me feel that this version beats the original by a tinsy tiny bit. However, the ending was so stupid I actually got pretty mad at how lazy they got by just abruptly ending it with Nancy's mom getting pulled into the mirror by Freddie and Nancy just screaming and it ending there. The hell? I mean I know there probably wasn't much more they could have added to the ending but still . . . I felt cheated. I can't stand it when scary movies do that cuz it's like, the entire movie is great and you expect the ending to go out with a bang but instead it goes out with a punk ass fart! Uhm....yeah fart was the only word I could come up with, sry. But really, that made me so angry > < Anyway, besides that I felt it was worth watching especially if you're going on a date  ^ ^ I give this movie a 8/10
