Halloween weekend + Funky nail look

It's finally here! Halloween weekend is gunna be so much fun :D I'm really excited for today because we're all gunna go to Dick's resort then the Slaughter house downtown Dallas. I'm pumped! We were thinking about going to Goat man's bridge which you can wikipedia for the full story/history of the place but I think everyone's too chicken to go including myself so we're just gunna leave it at that haha! Oh, me and Vicky went to watch Paranormal Activity 2 last night and I was disappointed. DO NOT listen to the hype it's getting. It seriously didn't meet my expectations. It was suspenseful but that's about it. It was just as good as the first one...definitely not better though.

I actually bought some nice stuff from the hair store yesterday and almost couldn't post it up because I lost my camera but thankfully I found it. It may be a piece of crap but it's all I got rn.

I'm wearing the cute literal hair bow tonight. Not going as Lady Gaga but I'm sure that's what most people are gunna think anyway. I just like it for what it is. And of course I had to buy some super cheap essential hair oils too. Can't wait to start  using them bc they smell so good!

I wasn't really planning on buying anything I just wanted to go there to see what shade of hair I wanted to try out next after I take my sew-in down later next month. I'm dying to wash it but I'm not about to risk messing up the extensions. Everything I got was all came down to about $8 which I thought wasn't so bad. Gotta love getting stuff for cheap.

Before I forget lemme show you the nail look I did with my new nail polish.

It's pretty funky looking and I remember seeing something like it on one of kawaiinails youtube channel, so thanks for the inspiration girl!

Anyway I'm not sure if I'll have any pictures of my day tmrw but if I do I'll try to make a post about it Sunday or at the latest Monday so it won't be too far off from the Halloween season. Knowing me that's what I typically would do heh heh ^ ^; But until then, everyone stay safe this weekend and don't get haunted by playing the Ouija boards or doing any Illuminati activity...XD hahaha jk don't ask where that came from, I don't have the answer!

Bye!

Udoli Hate . . .

I been trying to keep my composure with this bullshit. Honestly, I have been but this is my blog and I feel I need to use it for the purposes of expressing my emotions the way I choose to.

Here's the thing. People can say whatever they want about me and I'd bet money that I've heard it at least once before at this point so it doesn't matter. But let me stress that I will proudly admit that I have never hated udoli and don't think I ever will. Sure some of the drama was probably one the main downfalls udoli had but hello?! Look at the western gyaru community! It's far more catty there than it was in udoli and yet there are several girls and guys, myself included obviously, who still choose to take part of that lifestyle. And I understand a lot of people didn't like what it became recently earlier this year. Boo fucking hoo, cry me a God damn river. Where the fuck were you when all the admins constantly asked people for their opinions. Shit it almost was like we were BEGGING at one point for people to speak the fuck up but no one did and once changes started to be made everyone flipped shit and said fuck it I'm out of here. If you think udoli went to shit, then why didn't YOU express yourself to the people who were semi-in charge?

And if the only reason you have for hating udoli is because of who the original creator was, then hate HER! Not the people who joined it or the movement itself. It was a brilliant idea that needed more time and support to mature into something beautiful imho. I think the reason why I loved udoli so much is because of a few reasons. One being that it brought so many girls who I identified with together which was somewhat difficult to do before through just Myspace, back when it was hot xP. The other would be that I love my Nigerian culture. Although I have a great interest for modern Japanese and Korean culture, I'm always going to love where my parents came from and how they raised me up using their traditions. I see nothing wrong with liking multiple cultures however sadly, a lot of people like to make a big fuss about it but that's their problem for not seeing the world I do, not mine. For once I could take that part of who I was and combine it with the other parts of me that I grew fond of...if that makes sense. Last reason, udoli kept me working and made me busy! The whole time I would be at work, I would be always thinking about new ideas for make up tuts, ideas for events, contests, you name it! Before gyaru even came into the picture, THIS was what I loved more than anything else. So to hear people bash it and just talk so much trash about it sickens me. You can have your opinion but I sure as hell am gunna have mine.

Udoli wasn't a group full of random black girls on the internet who all wanted to be Asian, although I'll admit that the majority did have a deep interest with Asian culture that initially brought us together . But for those who didn't stick around to see what it was evolving into, it was way more than that. It was a sisterhood, believe it or not. When you have people like that to talk to when no one else in your life understands where you're coming from, you hold them dear. I've had my moments when all I wanted to do was spend my entire day on the website because of that reason alone. I hate to cheese up that part but it's all the honest truth. I know after this there's still going to be several out there who still think udoli's this and udoli's that, but if you were a TRUE member who never left then I'm sure you get where this entire message of mine is coming from . . .

Hachiko's first day as my pup! (Pix)

As you may already know, my 11 week old puppy Hachi's arrival all the way from from Bat rouge, Louisiana was yesterday in the evening and my what a hectic time we had trying to get to the right building to pick up the little guy! We finally found it after calling all the staff in American Airlines to figure how to get to the damn place. Anyway, we got there and I was nervous I'm not even gunna lie. I was thinking well what if he doesn't like me? What if he hates our home and all my efforts to make him feel as comfortable as possible? But the worse question of all that went through those paranoid thoughts was what if getting a dog was a bad idea...

Thinking that DEFINITLY made my stomach do flip flops but it was too late to turn back now. He was all paid for and ready to meet his new owners! I wanted to film everything but foolish Victoria managed to somehow lose the piece that held the battery in place so now making videos and taking cute pics will be twice as difficult but still possible no worries. I just really need a new one!! So the guy at the building says our dog's plane just landed and that we should wait about 30 minutes to get him. First thought was great, more anticipation, waiting, and paranoia of something going terribly wrong! Plus, I was rly hungry...and did I mention I was having a rather bad day prior to? I was...I've had worse but still it was not my top 10, or 20, or 50...you get the picture DX

Finally the guy said he was there and my Lord I have never seen a puppy that angelic looking irl before so my mind was blown at how cute he was! Like I wanted to die it was unbearable. We took him home and Derric was the first one to hold him, Vicky was the 2nd, and I was the last (why idk >:X). He was so quiet the whole ride from the airport up till right about we were taking him to bed. I feed him and he suddenly got all this energy so I was a little mad at myself for that but I didn't want him to go to bed hungry or thirsty especially on his first night. After he ate Vicky and I knew it was about that time. DUN DUN DUN! The crying began immediately and the meek growling. It was so cute though and although I felt terrible I knew it was for the best. Puppies need as much rest as they can get. I'm taking him to the vet later today so hopefully the doc says all is well with Hachi. For some reason, my sister now calls him Hachcotch . . . *throws up hands and shrugs* Anyway I promised plenty of adorable pictures and here they are! Video soon to come too!

He's a licker!
Tired from a long day.

I love you Hachi!!

Jackass 3-D movie + FOTD

It was some funny shit! I mean I felt so disgustedly satisfied by the end of that movie. It's sad that this is their last one from what I hear :( I've always enjoyed watching their silly antics and even their spin off show with Steve-o and Chris on the Wild Boyz. It always made my day that much better and that more nauseating. It's worth the watch!

Besides that, I was practicing my make up the earlier this week and omgosh I totally love how it came out!

I didn't use any foundation/concealer which is why my skin is edited...still working on my acne scars)
Items used:
- 120 Manly Eyeshadow Palette
-NYX Jumbo pencil "Milk"
-Black liquid liner
-Falsies (bought off ebay)

I realized purples and dark blues really bring out the beauty in my eyes. But I'm SO not the type to limit myself to just those colors ㅡㅇㅡ

 - B U T -

I most definitely butchered my eyeliner. It literally looks like I had a seizure trying to apply it on. Oh well. Still gotta practice I suppose. As you can see I decided to wear my usamini I got from F21. I think I'll include these pics in my new banner. I really like how it turned out! I just wish I took the time to curl my hair. Every time I try and use my curling irons on it they NEVER last and they're always so loose even when the heat is on super high ㅠ^ㅠ I really want these extensions to last so I think I'll try one more time (probably Halloween weekend) and if that fails, then the next time I buy weave I'm probably going to get Milky Way's wet-n-wavy because I know that one definitely holds curls really well. Or I might go to the hair store later today and see if they sell some flexi rods. I hear those work wonderfully without all the damaging heat.

Till then lovettes <3

Black gyaru and HAIR! (Warning: lengthy)

Images taken from gal secerts. They actually sparked this topic for me.

Hey guys! So as you can see by the title of this post in particular, I wanted to address the topic of dark skinned gyaru (primarily of black descendant) wearing blond/light brown hair and overall black haircare for gals. In the black community, when we see an African American female having on any type of outrageously contrasting colored wig/hair piece we instantly classify them as being "ghetto", "low class", "trashy" and so on. This may not apply to every single black person and I'm just generally speaking. This is all based from the area I lived in and my own experience so I don't wanna hear any people bitching about how you think I'm wrong and go twisting up my words so get that straight! Alls I'm saying is typically, if you go home to your parents with say a new facial piercing for example, not only will you get told off but society itself will automatically make assumptions about your home life, your future, and your overall character based on that one aspect of your appearance. But I'm sure you all already know this is how the world works and it really goes with any kind of situation. People don't expect the unexpected and when the unexpected, they freak out! And it's bound to be violently noticeable.

But as a gyaru, shouldn't that not really matter? Last time I checked, being gal was about being yourself without giving a whoot about what anyone thought. Aiming to look as fashionable to please the eyes of yourself or your even gal friends who also have a good sense in fashion. So the idea of black gals being concerned about the bad attention shouldn't be happening because it shouldn't be a surprise that people are gawking at you since you chose this lifestyle. Although, I do understand where they're coming from. You have to ask yourself whether or not you're prepared for that type of attention. I personally don't know if I would be comfortable walking out of the house with a full blond wig on because I know I will get stares or even harassment however taking baby steps to get to that point is definitely recommendable. I would suggest wearing light brown hair pieces to start off with and work your way up to a lighter color. But don't just choose the first shade you see! Compare the tones with your skin complexion and see which one compliments you the best. Even if your a dark skinned girl, I still think blond hair can look appealing for those skin tones if you choose the right shade, at least in the eyes of the gyaru community.

With that said, I've seen a lot of questions from primarily black gals who are just starting out in the gyaru lifestyle and of course our MAJOR issue tends to be our hair. Our hair is so unique in comparison to other races that it's hard to modify it to become just like theirs and it can be an exhausting process. Our natural hair can look absolutely stunning when taken proper care of however I also believe in a relaxed/chemically straighten state it can look just as beautiful! A lot of black girls don't realize the true potential our hair has. Because our hair strands are so thick, it holds curls and other lovely hairstyles we want to achieve in the gyaru culture much longer in comparison to fine hair textures. Our hair however does have it's cons. We need a lot more care when styling it. There's a plethora of information I can get into about black haircare but I think I'll save that for future post in efforts to stress this...

If you want your OWN hair to look as long and luscious as the gal models/non-gal models you're inspired by, take the time to research on your own hair and start a hair journey! Personally, I believe going on a hair journey is like starting another lifestyle all on it's own but you don't have to stop being gyaru in order to see great results in the health and length of your hair which is what we're aiming for! Here's a few tips that I can give you right off the top of my head...

  1. DO NOT straighten, tease, use excessive hairspray, or DYE/BLEACH your hair especially if you're already relaxed. There are other methods to get cute hairstyles, trust me!
  2. DO NOT think that wearing wigs are lame. If you buy a nice looking one (which you can find for cheap at your local beauty supply stores) not only will you look good, but it will be less manipulation on your actual hair giving it a rest from your daily or constant styling. Let your wig take the beating! Your hair will thank you later :]
  3. DO wear weaves/hair extensions in efforts to avoid actually dying your own hair. Chemicals that get put on your hair can do some serious damage and can result in a lot of breakage. It's tough to come back from that but not impossible...don't take that risk. Love your hair!
  4. DO NOT feel discouraged that you have to do a wee bit more work to make your hair look fab than other gals. Honestly, they're hair is a ticking time bomb before the extreme damage catches up with them imo (when they turn 60 they're gunna be bald!!) so in the mean time just be proud that you're hair is healthy and will continue to grow long from here on end.
  5. DO keep yourself motivated and informed! Go on hair sites like hairlista.com or k-i-s-s.biz for advice otherwise it will be really REALLY easy to give up or forget you're on a hair journey.
I could go on but I don't wanna bore you have to death xP I just want to motivate girls who are struggling with their hair while still being gyaru to not give up! Our hair may be fragile but if you treat it properly it will listen to you and look amazing! I'm on a hair journey right now and I can't wait to show you guys how far I've come. So embrace your weaves, wigs, and your own hair!

Broken Porcelain Doll make up tutorial

Two posts in one day? Wtf is going on?! Haha I had to post this one up tonight otherwise who knows WHEN I'd post it next week. I gave it a shot. I know my skin sucks hardcore here...stupid acne prone skin won't lemme alone! Not to mention this video's a bit choppy but I had to edit out 50 minutes of useless footage so I'm sure you'd rather see this than a bunch of nothing right? Heh, but anywho, this was totally just for fun. Halloween really does something to me. Idk it makes my creative side go wild. I'm thinking of doing another make up look but I'm not sure if it'd be too much. Would any of you wanna see another? Leave comments below.

Don't forget to go the the actual video and comment, thumbs up, and subscribe~

Shopping at Forever XXI & delicoius Patbingsu

Hello lovelies! Are you diggin the new look? Eh? Ehhhh? XD
I finally stopped being lazy and learned how to do a bunch of cool stuff that I've been meaning to add to my blog for a looooooong time. There's still a few tweaks that need to be done, and I'm fully aware that I currently have no banner atm, but that will be fixed soon. Moving on, there's been quite a bunch of updates since I last posted one here so let's get started with my first one shall we?

So earlier this week Vicky, my bestie Derric, and I all decided to spend our Thursday evening going out to Pei Wei, getting bubble tea at H-Mart, then go do a little shopping at the Willow bend mall which wasn't too far from where we already were. I've been trying to not go over board with the spending but something came over me that day giving me the feeling that this time won't hurt. Heh we'll see I guess ^ ^;

It was Derric's first time going to H-Mart and as hard as I tried to make him stop making racist jokes, he still managed to sneak em in every now and then -__- But besides that we had fun! He tried patbingsu with me and to my surprised he liked it. Can't say the same for Victoria though.

Had strawberries, shaved ice, frozen original tart flavored yogurt, kiwi fruit, mochi, and pinapples all jumbled up in that little cup. It was deelish!
So yeah that was loads of fun to try out again with him. He ended up getting bubble tea but that pretty much filled me up so I didn't get any this time around. Maybe next time :] After we were done, we finally went to go to the mall. My sister was driving us there but the poor girl almost had a heart attack because she wasn't used to the road. If it weren't for Derric being there we would have just gone home early and that would have sucked BIG time bc I really wanted to go shopping at Forever 21 for some reason.

When we finally got there, we actually went into some other stores before going into Forever 21 and I had to buy another set of body cream from Gilly Hicks except this time I got their body wash and a pretty lip gloss to match!
I wish it was more solid. I love the color!

They all smell so good and remind me a lot of winter ^ w ^ Just what I wanted :D And it was all under 10 smackeroons (dollars...haha)!

We finally got to Forever 21 and there wasn't a bunch of great deals but I wasn't too surprised.

I didn't realize it was two gloves in one when I got em but I like em even more now!
My first usamimi :D It was $1.99 and they had a black one but I was definitely feeling the silver one much more. I've already worn it out since I bought it and already got compliments!

I'm definitely taking this to school so I can start drinking more water throughout the days. I'm always dehydrated :P

Erm, about this last one heh heh...well ya see, we went into AE and I was looking at their bras cuz they were about $15 but then I decided to leave it and buy it another time. Little did I know that when we left and were in Pac Sun, I had this bra still on attached to my hand and I felt terrible! I have never stolen in my life! & I typically look down on those that encourage stealing so I swear this was definitely an accidental mishap. Derric and Vicky suggested I just keep it because if I go back they might actually think I did it on purpose and manage to somehow get me in trouble even though I came back and returned their item. -___- next time I go to shop, I'm making sure I don't have anything hanging on my arms, foot, shoulders, or whatever! Imagine if there was a mall cop there and I innocently would have gotten in trouble for a bra that I wasn't even intending on buying anyway. But it ended up being a perfect fit and I like the design so...lol guess my luck just came in handy that day ^ ^ That's all for now kiddos! Thanks for reading :D

New video!

Most of these updates were already stated on my blog, but here it is for those who might have missed out on anything :]

Hachiko's coming on the 22nd!!!☆ (≧▽≦)・:*:ヽ(゜▽、゜)ノ

Screen shot of the site we bought him from. He was hella pricey but I'm sure he'll be worth it!

IT'S OFFICIAL! I'm going to become a momma! Remember that post a made a long time ago about how much I wanted a dog? Well that was almost a year ago but now my family has decided to buy this cute little sucker here and I am so unbelievably excited for his arrival! I never thought we'd ever get a dog. I thought my chances of getting one would only be likely if I moved out and got my own place to live but my mom was actually serious when she said she wanted one too and just look at how cute he is!! I've been so so so busy buying doggy stuff this past week and making sure we have everything taken care of as far as a local vet, dog playgrounds, and all that junk because I don't want to screw this up. My mom said she's going to make him primarily my responsibility since I'm the main reason why she's getting him. Reason being that my sister's moving out next semester in the spring so it's gunna be really tough not having her around :( If you guys knew how close we were, you'd understand why getting a dog is more than necessary. Without him, idk how else I would cope which explains why I'm so determined to be the best dog owner to this little guy ^ w ^ Oh and if you haven't guessed by the title of this post, we all agreed on the name Hachiko, or Hachi for short. It was my sister's idea as well as mine and originally we got the idea from Nana (anime series & a MUST WATCH) but then we remembered the historical story of that name.

There was a professor who taught at the University of Tokyo back in the day who had a loyal dog named Hachiko. Hachiko would follow his owner everywhere he went and would usually wait on him outside the University to go home him after he was done teaching for the day. Unfortunately, his owner died of a brain aneurism. Still, Hachiko continued waiting on his professor at the University for the next nine years untill he died of old age. Now THAT'S one hell of a dog! Which is why I chose that name for my sweetheart! You can call me a Japanophile all you want, but if that story doesn't somehow touch your heart you are one evil motherfucker. Js :)

There's STILL a lot of stuff we need to get like a crate, blankets, probably more toys, treats, UGH! It's like I'm getting ready to have a baby! I've also been cleaning the dickens out of our messy apartment...well it's not that bad but there's a bunch of clutter in certain rooms more than others that I gotta make sure is cleaned up before he arrives. They call it "puppy proofing" your home. I hope this all pays off. So far my mom's loving it cuz she says it's making me seem more responsible already. Aigoo! Like I wasn't before?! >__>

You better believe he's going to be posted all over my internet profiles so you don't have to tell me to take pictures/videos. You're gunna be sick of seeing his furry little face by the time I'm through which I probably won't be. I just hope he likes it here living with us. Pray that all works out well for me guys!

Recent buys: Aphogee + Ambi

Hey guys! I was at my local hair and beauty supply store and I finally got my hands on some Aphogee hair products. This brand is well known in the black hair care community for it's intense hair repairing and reconstructing formula. I was going to buy the 2-step treatment, but that was $20 and I had a budget so I might buy it later this month that is IF and only if the two products from Aphogee I did buy actually work. I used both the leave-in conditioner and the 2 minute reconstructer a few days ago and it made my hair tough (stronger) which was good however I think that made it harder for me to detangle without seeing my hair break out, thus, cancelling out the entire idea of buying it in the first place >:X but I'm still going to play around with how I use it to see if I might have used the wrong product with it but I know for a FACT that my hair needs protein because breakage is my absolute number 1 problem that my hair is facing.

As for the Ambi stuff you see, I decided to buy this since it was fairly cheap and recommended by a few people I've talked to about my hyperpigmentation. I'm thinking of buying Clinique's Even Better Spot Corrector soon too so I can stop wearing so much concealer and foundation. It might cost me an arm and a leg but I don't care. I really can't stand looking at my skin sometimes D:

FOTD ( ^ . ^)~

This is a first now isn't it? The other day I was really feeling my make up and decided to take a pic. This was right before I left my house to go to a long 6 hour adult driving class -___- it was beyond boring.

OVERALL FACE:
- NYX concealer magic wand
-Clinique pressed powder foundation (probably should have blended a little better but I didn't realize it till I looked at this picture xP)

CHEEKS:
- Clinique's blush in mocha

EYES:
- Black gel eyeliner(some off brand off ebay)
LIPS:
- Carmax lip balm

I was actually wearing a pretty scarf around my head because I felt inspired by mode gyaru that day...ish. Not sure if it's mode gals that mainly wear the scarves around their heads but either way I love the trend so I tried it for myself with one of my scarves and it turned out looking nice ^ ^ Next time I'll take a better pic.
